Convening a funder response to the crisis in the Amazon
Defenders of the Amazon are under attack daily, and the dangers are only growing as deforestation and violence both increase. There are opportunities now for funders to make an impact by working in partnership with communities and local activist funds.

We invite you to join Maria Amália Souza of CASA Socio-Environmental Fund, Daniëlle Hirsch of Both ENDS and Karen Suassuna of the Oak Foundation for a Webinar presentation to discuss the evolving crisis in the Amazon and how funders can take action now. Learn more about the real challenges activists are facing in resourcing their efforts and how you can contribute. Learn some strategies for supporting this work effectively and learn from examples that show how funders are already doing it.

This presentation will be hosted by Winifred Olliff of HRFN and moderated by Poonam Joshi, Director of the Funders Initiative for Civil Society.

Dec 12, 2019 10:00 AM in Eastern Time (US and Canada)
