On April 29, 2020, the Ministry of Ecology and Environmental Protection (MEE) issued the newly revised MEE Order No.12, and it has been in effect since January 1, 2021. Under the requirements of MEE Order No.12, new chemical substances with annual production or import volume of more than 1 ton or less than 10 tons are required to apply for simplified registration; new chemical substances with annual production or import volume of more than 10 tons are required to apply for regular registration.
