The second edition of Warsaw Science Diplomacy School (WSDS), organized by the Horizon 2020 project InsSciDE, will take place online at the end of June 2021. A carefully selected group of outstanding students from across the world will dive deep into the skills, systems and practices lining the path from "Wissenschaft to Statecraft".
Like last year, we will open up a session to the public! Join us to hear an introductory lecture on Power with Science Diplomacy by Rasmus Bertelsen (UiT The Arctic University of Norway) and discussion of a historical case study showing how Brexit was foreshadowed in 1980s UK-EU environmental diplomacy by Simone Turchetti (University of Manchester). In the subsequent discussion led by Nina Wormbs, the speakers examine their presentations’ areas of overlap and demonstrate how historical cases can fortify understanding of science diplomacy as a practice.
