Singer-songwriter John Mayer croons, “Fathers, be good to your daughters / Daughters will love like you do.” Is that true? Exactly how, and how much, have our fathers—biological/parental, institutional, spiritual, literary, historical—shaped us as girls and women? To honor Father’s Day, we will explore sample pieces that feature the paternal as subject matter and write our own pieces to recognize and reconcile the impact of our father figures on our lives.
NOTE: Each session's replay video will be emailed within 24 hours post-session, so you won’t miss anything if you can’t attend “live.”
