Identifying and Moving Clients Along Stages of Change for Health and Wellness
Health coaches are always looking for ways to better understand and meet their clients where they are that informs how they move clients into action. Prochaska’s Transtheoretical Model provides a framework for identifying what stage of readiness clients are in around their desired lifestyle change. And learning how to listen for the client’s stage of readiness as well as what is likely happening behind the scenes provides coaches with specific coaching interventions that meet clients in 5 distinct stages of change. Are you ready to personalize your coaching interventions to support clients in all different stages of readiness? The framework covered in this workshop will deepen your ability to work with a variety of clients that come into your practice.

Objectives:
Describe the context behind the Transtheoretical Model and how it supports the practice of health coaches.

Explore 5 core stages of change readiness including what words the client will likely use in a session, what is happening behind the scenes that is impacting their stage readiness, and what coaching interventions best meet the client in each of the stages.
