Ariel is a community leader who has merged professional experience as a touring skateboarder with a passion for city-building to become a seasoned contributor in the planning, design, construction, programming and management of skateparks across Ontario and abroad. He is recognized as a driving force in the development of municipal skateparks, ever striving to bridge understanding between skatepark users, their governments and the broader community, including serving as a founding and executive member of the Toronto Skateboarding Committee.
Chris Dewar
Bike Park Design + Development Specialist, President @Transitions Bike Parks Inc.
Chris Dewar has among the widest range of experience in the Ontario Bike Park and Trail design and development industry. In addition to decades of multi-disciplinary riding experience, Chris has been a longstanding cycling advocate with professional experience as a design consultant, construction contractor and as a municipal employee. Through these roles, Chris has developed a comprehensive understanding of the entire bike park development process, from initial stakeholder consultation to site selection and analysis, conceptual and detailed design, agency approvals, contract tendering and construction and maintenance of numerous bike park facilities. Through his roles in both the public and private sector, Chris understands the importance of balancing the functional needs of riders with community desires to produce both progressive and functional facilities. He has hosted multiple bike track and park community meetings, conceptual design workshops and on-site meetings.
