Join us in celebrating 90 years of ocean monitoring by the Continuous Plankton Recorder Survey!
Since 1931, plankton sampling devices, known as Continuous Plankton Recorders, have crisscrossed the ocean, collecting vital data on the health of our marine environment. This year marks the 90th anniversary of the first CPR tow, and the start of the world’s largest marine monitoring programme. Join us on 15th September 2021 for CPR90, a FREE one-day online conference, where we’ll look back over these 9 decades, and examine the world-class science that has been carried out as a result. Featuring talks and live Q+A sessions with experts from around the world, we delve into the secrets and successes of the Survey, exploring themes such as impacts and applications of CPR data, global coverage of monitoring, and the exciting future of the CPR Survey.
