Home to School Connection with AAC and Google Docs
One of my favorite activities to do with my AAC users is story creation. Once I started using Google Docs to “hold space” for their writing, students became more and more motivated to participate. If set up and shared correctly, parents can even read their writing while they are at work and discuss it with their student that eventing. Take a look at videos of students young and old using this strategy.

Objectives:
Learn how to set up a student with a google docs account
Discuss ways to get students to create writing using their AAC devices and low tech systems
Set up home to school connection through stories
