Our role as community broadcasters requires a thorough knowledge of broadcast regulation. To this end, the CBAA is very excited to welcome back representatives of the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) to our webinar platform as we look at how we can refine and improve the fantastic service we provide our community with a strengthened knowledge of best practice and compliance.
The ACMA is a statutory authority within the federal government portfolio of Communications and the Arts and is Australia's regulator for the contemporary communications and media environment, including community broadcasting. The ACMA actively balances the benefits of minimising regulatory burden on the sector while ensuring delivery of public interest outcomes. To ensure this is met, and that stations are serving their communities to the best of their ability, representatives of the ACMA will be presenting as part of a special CBAA webinar.
In this session, ACMA will provide information on:
Understanding your sponsorship obligations
How to ensure your service is meeting the needs of your audience
Community consultation and engagement
This session is suited for people new to the sector as well as experienced broadcasters wanting to stay on top of their game. We look forward to seeing you!
