Beyond Blue: An Inclusive Overview of Depressive Disorders
If left up to popular culture and the mass media, most people would believe that there's only one type of depression. However, there are many types of depressive disorders. Although there are many similarities among them, they also have distinct symptoms and presentations that clinicians and service providers need to be aware of in order to make the appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan.In this live webinar you will learn the distinctions between the depressive disorders in the DSM-5. More importantly, we will discuss the importance of diagnosticians adopting a lens that is inclusive of our clients' racial, gender, sexual, economic, religious and cultural identities. To that end, we will engage in a few interactive activities that will enhance your understanding of how the same symptoms can show up differently among people of various identities.
