The Federal Public Defender presents this CLE Presentation on Compassionate Advocacy.

This presentation will focus on the importance of getting to know your client to improve advocacy from inception to conclusion. That focus can improve our representation at all levels, from trial strategy, to plea negotiations, through sentencing

The State Bar of Texas MCLE Department has approved this seminar for 1.0 hours of CLE credit, course No. 174120315. There is no cost for participants or for those attorneys wishing to apply for the CLE credit.

Amr Ahmed
Asst Federal Public Defender @Southern District of Texas
Amr has been an Assistant Federal Public Defender in Houston since 2017. He was an Assistant Public Defender in Virginia from 2012 – 2017. He graduated from Quinnipiac University School of Law in Connecticut. He grew up in New Orleans. He is an eagle scout, a husband and a father of three children. He volunteers as a scoutmaster to troop 713 in Houston. He enjoys hiking and kayaking.
Ashley Kaper
Associate @Gerger, Hennesee, and McFarlane
Ashley has spent more than ten years as a defense attorney, representing individuals in federal and state courts. She currently works at the criminal defense firm Gerger, Hennessy and McFarlane. Prior to entering private practice, Ashley worked as an Assistant Federal Public Defender in Houston and before that she was a criminal/immigration attorney at the Bronx Defenders in NYC.
