Youth Leadership in the Development of Life Promotions Tools.
Marshall, a youth leader contracted by Thunderbird Partnership Foundation, will present on the development of a life promotion toolkit. The focus of this panel presentation will be to introduce the youth led toolkit creation, identify key aspects of the toolkit, and share the overall goals of the project. This panel presentation will pay special attention to the importance of youth leadership and youth voice.
This presentation by Dr. Ed Connors will provide participants with an introduction to our wisepractices website. This will familiarize them with the reasons that lead to the creation of the site. An understanding will also be provided for how this site relates to preventing suicide in our First Nations communities by promoting a connection to life. The presenter will offer a quick tour of the site so that participants can search the site for information that is useful to them.
