E-Tourism conference on domestic tourism
Uganda will join the rest of the world to celebrate the International World Tourism Day on the 27th September 2020 under the theme “Tourism and Rural Development”. The purpose of these celebrations is to foster awareness among the global community on the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic value.
As part of this year’s events planned, the Ministry is organizing a thematic e-conference under the theme “Tourism and Rural Development”. The conference will explore the trends, opportunities and challenges of promoting domestic tourism, and empowering local communities through cultural tourism along the entire tourism value chain.
