Geoff Barnes, MD is a cardiologist and vascular medicine specialist at the University of Michigan Health System. His areas of research interest include anticoagulation, venous thromboembolism, quality improvement and shared decision making. He currently co-directs the Michigan Anticoagulation Quality Improvement Initiative (MAQI2) a six-centered BCBSM-sponsored anticoagulation quality improvement collaborative and registry.
Scott Damrauer, MD is a vascular surgeon and an Assistant Professor of Surgery. His health services research aims to understand how the act of undergoing surgery alters an individual’s interaction with the heath care system. He is interested in the patterns of care that develop following major surgical procedures, and how these patterns influence healthcare resource utilization and costs.
