The phrases “sexual harassment” and “gender discrimination” are used to describe so many different employment situations that their true legal meanings have become diluted. And the terms used within conversations about harassment and discrimination are used interchangeably, often without true understanding of what they represent. Sexual orientation, gender Identity and gender expression are not the same thing, and what truly – and legally -- qualifies as “retaliation” and a “hostile work environment’?
