The National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP) has been supporting the work of those who care for people with substance use disorders for over 40 years. NAATP has formed a new non-profit organization to take on the task of creating a system to measure the progress and recovery of the people our members treat. The NAATP Foundation for Recovery Science and Education is guided by the ethical principles of the NAATP Ethics Code, backed by the scientific knowledge and research ethics of OMNI Institute, and advised by the expertise of a national committee of scientists, practitioners, accreditors and other stakeholders. This webinar will provide an introduction to the NAATP Foundation and its Outcomes and Measures Program. Through widespread application of simple measurement tools and technology connectivity, individual clinicians and multisite treatment programs alike can contribute to this national program and help demonstrate the value of quality addiction services. This presentation will address the goals, methods, and scope of this project, as well as potential implications for improving services, working collaboratively with payers, increasing access to care, and transforming the field of addiction treatment.
