Air pollution and COVID-19 - Clearing the air and charting a post-pandemic course
Clearing the air - What does the latest science tell us?

This session will summarize the latest research linking air pollution and health during lockdowns related to the pandemic, the potential role of exposure to air pollution in susceptibility and severity of COVID-19 infection, and discuss research considerations related to studying air pollution and health in this context.

Charting a course - What does a healthy and sustainable recovery post COVID-19 pandemic look like?

The COVID-19 has led us to a decisive moment in history. How can we use this window of opportunity to implement the European Green Deal, the SDG 2030 agenda and the Paris Climate Agreement? Can we avert looming threats and highlight co-benefits of mitigation strategies regarding environmental pollution and the climate crisis? The virtual roundtable will discuss these issues and propose a path forward.

This event is organised by European Respiratory Society (ERS), Health Effects Institute (HEI) and International Society for Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE).
