In 2018 the International Council for Adult Education (ICAE) and DVV International continue to build global dialogue, support an exchange of ideas and critical reflection on highly relevant topics in adult education and development. This includes a virtual seminar discussing “Inclusion and Diversity”, following the latest edition of DVV International´s journal Adult Education and Development (AED) with the same topic.
To complement this, we are also organizing a webinar. Daniel L. Mpolomoka, lecturer in the School of Education; and Selina Banda, lecturer in the Department of Adult Education, both at the Zambian Open University (ZAOU), have agreed to participate.
During the webinar, Daniel and Selina will present and discuss their article on “Inclusion on Stage – A Zambian theatre case” (available online at the journal´s website in English, French, Spanish), written for this years´ AED edition. They analyse how “Theatre for Development (TfD)” initiates understanding and contributes towards transforming people’s lives by encouraging them to share ideas and act collectively.
You can follow the presentation and discussion on the 28th of March, 09:00 (Zambian time). The webinar runs on the zoom.us, which you can access through a normal web browser, or through the zoom.us app. Technical support is available if you need it. Deadline for registration is 27th of March.
