EverGreen- Local Resource Plan: Public Workshop #2

Sonoma Clean Power invites the public to attend our EverGreen-Local Resource Plan: Public Workshop #2 to continue the conversation about the future development of more local renewable energy sources. SCP’s EverGreen service provides our customers with the option to power their homes and businesses with 100% renewable, locally-produced, geothermal and solar energy day and night. Our EverGreen customers pay a premium which supports the development of new renewable energy facilities in our service territory. As EverGreen participation has continued to increase, it has driven the need for more local renewable energy sources to be built.

SCP held our first public workshop on December 1st, 2020, to collect input on local renewable priorities, what sources of renewable energy are preferred, what aspects of the EverGreen service are most important to customers, and what development strategies will work best for expanding our clean power sources to serve EverGreen customers. In this second workshop, we want to discuss the more technical aspects of the EverGreen-Local Resource Plan including the forecast energy use of EverGreen customers, the hourly energy use modeling methodology, individual resource considerations and options, potential resource portfolios, and next steps.
