Burst Mode Lasers Webinar
The burst mode laser architecture has proven to be an extremely versatile and useful tool for examining high speed, turbulent flows. A burst mode laser consists of a relatively short sequence of high intensity pulses, the burst lasting on the order of milliseconds, with a longer (a few seconds) recovery time in between bursts. By using this MOPA design with this periodic amplification, the system can take advantage of the best of both worlds offering both flexible pulse repetition rate and pulse shape as well as high intensities during the burst. In this webinar hosted by the OSA Laser Systems Technical Group, Dr. Josef Felver of Spectral Energies LLC will go into the details of how this technology has been developed into a commercial product and also explain how they are working to improve it.

What You Will Learn:
- The motivation and development of burst mode lasers
- Examples of their use for diagnostic methods in high speed flows

Who Should Attend:
- Those interested in high intensity laser technology and high speed flow diagnostics
