THETA Rounds: TBA, Deirdre DeJean, Ba, Bsc, MSc, PhD
THETA Collaborative is pleased to invite Deirdre DeJean, Ba, Bsc, MSc, PhD, Scientific Advisor, CADTH.

My main interest lies at the nexus of the fields of applied ethics and health policy analysis. I have over a decade of experience developing research-based approaches for addressing social values in health technology policy analysis, particularly the use of qualitative evidence syntheses to inform health technology assessment. I am currently a Scientific Advisor at CADTH, where I provide leadership in the development and maintenance of CADTH scientific methods.

I hold a B.A (English Literature) from McGill University as well as a BSc (Psychology) and MSc and PhD (Health Research Methodology) from McMaster University. As a research assistant at the Centre of Health Economics and Policy Analysis, I participated at the level of co-investigator and co-author on several projects (e.g., ethics of case reporting, life support decision-making, ethical frameworks in health policy, cross-border assisted reproductive services, paradigms of health technology assessment). My dissertation research explored the construct of ambulance services from patient and provider perspectives.

Since 2008 THETA has been hosting a lecture series THETA Rounds and inviting world experts to address various issues related to Health Technology Assessment, Clinical Research and Health Policy and Ethics fields.
