Nickie Tilsner
Nickie Tilsner is a Registered Nurse, Doula Trainer, Childbirth Educator and Harm Reduction Practitioner with over 19 years experience in Birthwork. As the Co Founder and Co Executive Director of Cornerstone Doula Trainings, Nickie has developed Cornerstone's Birthworker training curricula that integrates the Harm Reduction framework into the Doula role, and has trained thousands of Birthworkers from all over the world. Nickie's work in all domains focuses on community care, advocacy, destigmatization, and justice. Nickie has had the absolute honor of working with many groundbreaking programs in the SF Bay Area including , San Francisco Needle Exchange, The UFO Study, and Haight Ashbury Youth Outreach Team (now HYA).
Misty Wilder
Misty Wilder is the Director of the UNT Health Science Center Healthy Start program. She has over 11 years' maternal and child health experience in the community setting, working with faith leaders, community-based services, and organizations to improve women and their families' health and well-being. She has in-depth knowledge of community resources available to families. Misty currently sits on many community boards such as the Chair of Infant Health Network, Tarrant County Home visiting Workgroup, MHMR Wellness Council, and Cancer Care Services. She is the current lead for the Texas COINN initiative through AMCPH to address social determinants of health. Misty is the founder of Celebrate Shi, a nonprofit that celebrates, educates, and inspires women and young girls through grassroots programming.
