The 2019 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Rule, which will take effect on January 1, includes a number of new and revised billing codes of interest for geriatrics health professionals. Some of these codes will be available for payment under Medicare for the first time and clinicians that would like to bill them will need to understand the various requirements for doing so. The rule also includes updates to Evaluation and Management (E/M) payment and documentation of interest to AGS members.
This webinar will cover how to utilize and bill for the following new and existing services available for payment under Medicare including: chronic care management, home services, remote monitoring, interprofessional telephone/internet/electronic health record consultation, and more. The presentation will also cover CMS’s changes to E/M payment and documentation for 2019 and beyond. Following the program, the attendee should be able to introduce these codes and other changes into their practices.
The webinar will be hosted by AGS Board Member and geriatrician Peter Hollmann, MD, and AGS consultant Denise Merlino, CPC, MBA, CNMT – both recognized for their expertise in payment and coding.
The webinar also comes with the opportunity to earn 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CME credit.
