Mace Ward (General Manager - Parks, Sport & Recreation @Auckland Council)

Peter Cochrane (Director @Ecotourism Australia and Earthwatch Australia)
Retiring in 2013 from full-time employment as Director of National Parks for the Australian Government after thirty years of senior government and private sector experience in the environment and resources sectors, Peter chairs the Sydney Institute of Marine Science, the Blue Mountains World Heritage Institute, Australia’s Tropical Herbarium and the Steering Committee of the National Environmental Science Program’s Marine Biodiversity Hub. 
He is a director of Ecotourism Australia, Earthwatch Australia, a Councillor of the International Union for Conservation of Nature, its global focal person on oceans, and a member of the Marine National Facility National Benefit Assessment Committee. 
Peter is a Commissioner with the NSW Independent Planning Commission and an Assistant Commissioner with the NSW Natural Resources Commission.
His career spans plant ecology research, policy advice, the oil and gas industry, and nature conservation.

Mel Wyatt (Learning Engagement Manager @Wildlife Conservation and Science)
Mel Wyatt has worked in outdoor cultural institutions for almost 25 years. Her experience in the landscape of education in the context of zoos, parks and gardens is extensive. Mel has held roles as Visitor Experience Manager, Head of Education, Volunteer Manager and Training Institute Manager at Taronga; Head of Education and Community Programs for the Botanic Gardens and Centennial Parklands; and is now the Learning Engagement Manager with Zoos Victoria. Mel is committed to continuously improving the vital role formal and informal programs play in the development of our relationships with nature and the creation of pro-conservation behaviour; mental and physical wellbeing; and the altruistic values that support broader community wellbeing.
