This Masterclass is suitable for all members of the school community.
This Masterclass will help you reflect on your own practice as a school leader and challenge you to consider the questions you use in your daily interactions.
Noel Brosnan describes the power and nature of questions before considering the impact of the questions you ask.
Norma Lenihan and Kevin Clohessy describe their journeys of learning to ask questions and the added value that using the skill of questioning brings to their roles as school leaders.
The panel discussion will consider:
- how questioning can enhance your leadership skills
- the best types of questions
- how questions can empower others
- how questions can de-escalate potentially difficult situations with staff, parents or students
- receiving the answers to the questions you ask
Please note that no recordings will be shared with participants. Slides will be shared if the presenter is agreeable to this.
