Saul Griffiths (Inventor, author, founder and scientist )
Saul is an inventor, author, and founder of multiple companies and nonprofits. He has led projects for agencies including NASA, DARPA, National Science Foundation and more. He has founded and co-founded multiple successful companies, including one acquired by Google, another by Autodesk, and another by a consortium of vehicle manufacturers including Toyota. In 2007 he was awarded a Macarthur Fellowship, the so-called ‘Genius Grant’, for inventions in the service of humanity.

Dr Monique Ryan (Independent Candidate for Kooyong )
Monique Ryan was formerly Director of the Neurology Department of the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne, where she was also head of a research program into nerve and muscle disorders of childhood. She is a professor of medicine at both Melbourne and Monash Universities. Monique stepped down from her professional roles in late 2021 to stand as an independent candidate for the seat of Kooyong in the 2022 election because of her concerns regarding climate change and our economic future, integrity in government, gender equity and health care. A long-term resident of Kooyong, she and her husband have chosen to raise their three children in the electorate, and would like them to have the same opportunities that they have had; secure employment, ability to afford a home, confidence in their futures and the fairness and integrity of their government.
