The Impact of the Pandemic for Black Canadians

COVID has hit some of us far more than others. The most misleading cliche about the coronavirus is that it treats us all the same. When in fact, this is far from the truth. Gaps in the system have left many at an unfair advantage medically, economically, socially, and psychologically. Thierry Lindor and Dr. Alicia Boatswain-Kyte will discuss how their initiative ‘The Colors of COVID’ is seeking to collect data to better understand how COVID-19 impacts Black Canadians.

The webinar will be held in French and English.

En ce qui concerne la COVID, sommes-nous vraiment tous égaux? Les personnes noires sont plus à risque d’en subir les conséquences financières, en plus de voir leur accès au système de santé limité. Thierry Lindor et Dre Alicia Boatswain-Kyte discuteront de l’initiative Colors of COVID, qui cherche à colliger des données sur l’ethnicité des personnes infectées pour mieux comprendre comment la pandémie affecte la communauté noire.
