She is also the Program Director for the Bachelor of Arts in Global Public Health and the founder and Director of Concordia’s new Master of Public Health degree. Additionally, she is a visiting research scientist at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in the Department of Health Policy and Management. Dr. Lemard-Marlow is an interdisciplinary scholar and has worked extensively in the field of global public health for more than 20 years, collaborating with organizations such as the World Health Organization, the Inter-American Development Bank and the United Nations. She has also worked with national governments on issues such as violence prevention, community and economic development, protecting vulnerable populations, and increasing collaboration in public and private partnerships at the international, national and local levels. Courtney Dezendorf (Director for the Office of Academic Affairs, Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) ) Courtney Dezendorf is Director for the Office of Academic Affairs at the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) in Austin, TX. She leads a team that administers an Institutional Review Board, Preventive Medicine Residency Program, Blue Ribbon Internship Program, Continuing Education Service, and Grand Rounds. Courtney helped form the Texas Public Health Practice Network, a collaborative between six Texas schools of public health and DSHS. This brings academic and practice partners together to develop and train the public health workforce in Texas. Within DSHS, Courtney serves on the agency-wide Training and Development Committee and as a liaison for the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials workforce development initiatives. She has 10+ years of experience in managing student and academic programming. She received her Master of Education from The University of Texas at Austin and her Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University.
