In total laryngectomy cases where a partial or full pharyngeal resection is required, several reconstructive options are available. The choice of reconstructive technique and tissue significantly impacts outcomes for voice and swallowing. This webinar describes the surgical reconstructive techniques and patient outcomes for the various options. Voice prostheses often provide the best communication option for this patient group and this webinar provides guidance on the timing of the tracheoesophageal puncture and anticipated voice outcomes.
