As follow-up to our long-standing support of the Sustainable Coconut and Coconut Oil Roundtable, USAID Green Invest Asia, Barry Callebaut and Grow Asia will convene an event on November 16, 2020.
The event will feature signatories of the coconut charter and prominently position USAID and Barry Callebaut as initial supporters, as well as the founding signatories – Friesland Campina, Harmless Harvest, Jacobs Douwe Egberts, Nestlé, and Unilever.
Additionally, the event will discuss coconut production impacts on deforestation and biodiversity and the potential of regenerative coconut as a solution to mitigate climate change with Harmless Harvest. These topics are among the key pillars of the Coconut Charter. The event will also feature updates on Public Private partnerships, a pre-competitive collaboration among several multinational corporations – Barry Callebaut, Bunge, Friesland Campina, Nestlé, Unilever, Procter & Gamble - and GIZ, to drive coconut sustainability in Asia in alignment with the Coconut Charter.
