Social Policies in Atlantic Canada: Links to Children’s Fall Prevention
The webinar will highlight an environment scan document developed by the Atlantic Collaborative on Injury Prevention (ACIP) and Child Safety Link (CSL), titled “Social Policies in Atlantic Canada: Links to Children’s Fall Prevention”.

Presenters will provide background information with an Atlantic Canadian context to frame the issue, including data and a description of the work between ACIP and CSL that led to this point. By sharing specific social policy examples, presenters aim to demonstrate opportunities for stakeholders who work in children’s fall prevention to reflect and discover ways in which social policies can address the links between the social determinants of health (SDOH) and fall-related injuries among children.

This webinar is intended for fall prevention stakeholders including (but not limited to) injury prevention and public health practitioners, government and non-governmental organizations, health-care providers, researchers, decision makers and resource allocators, and others in Atlantic Canada who have a responsibility or investment in preventing fall-related injuries among children.
