Allergen information considerations for foods sold loose and prepacked for direct sale (PPDS)
A free Anaphylaxis Campaign webinar with panelists Dr Helen Arrowsmith, Principal Food Law Adviser and Allergen Specialist in the Regulatory Affairs Department at Campden BRI and Lynne Regent, CEO of Anaphylaxis Campaign.

Helen will be covering legal requirements (EU harmonised and UK) on communication of allergen information for:
• Food sold loose (e.g. in catering establishments or delicatessens, and also for takeaways), and
• Food prepacked for direct sale (Natasha’s law) – for which NEW legislation is coming into force from 1 October 2021
The implications of the new legislation will be considered.

Lynne Regent
Chief Executive Officer @Anaphylaxis Campaign
Lynne Regent joined the Anaphylaxis Campaign as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in October 2008. Prior to taking up this role she spent 30 years working in the NHS in the UK, ultimately as Chief Executive of Crawley Primary Care Trust in the South East. As CEO of the Anaphylaxis Campaign her role is to ensure that the charity achieves its objective of helping people at risk of severe allergies live their lives.
Dr Helen Arrowsmith
Principal Food Law Adviser and Allergen Specialist @Campden BRI
Helen Arrowsmith is currently a Principal Food Law Adviser in the Regulatory Affairs Department at Campden BRI. Helen uses her knowledge, gained over 16 years working with the food/drink industry, to provide advice and consultancy on relevant UK and harmonised EU legislation, to present on training courses on food law and to contribute to publications. Helen is also a food allergen specialist; having spent 9 years managing the provision of technical contract services in the area of food allergen detection, including interpretation of testing results and delivery of consultancy, information and advice on food allergen analysis and cleaning validation for allergen removal.
