The Humanist Legal Society and The Secular Student Alliance are delighted to present this first event as part of a quarterly series serving interested undergraduate students, current law school students, and recent graduates. Our goal is to offer programming, networking opportunities, and to help build the next generation of humanist legal practitioners.

The mission of the Humanist Legal Society is to promote and protect humanist values in the legal system by providing support and networking opportunities to lawyers, judges, legal academics, law students and paralegals throughout the United States and by fostering development of humanism in the law. As humanists, we value the protection of civil liberties, strict separation of religion and government, legislation and public policies informed by sound scientific evidence, ethics in government and law enforcement, and respect for the diversity of individuals.

The Secular Student Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the only national organization dedicated to atheist, humanist, and other non-theist students. The Secular Student Alliance empowers secular students to proudly express their identity, build welcoming communities, promote secular values, and set a course for lifelong activism.
