Public Policy Pop-Up: What to Watch For in the Upcoming Supreme Court Hearing on Race in College Admissions
The U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on October 31 in Students for Fair Admissions v. University of North Carolina and Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard, the latest cases to look at the legality of the limited use of race and ethnicity in college admissions.

Of course, the makeup of the Supreme Court in 2022 is quite different from that of 2016, when it last heard a challenge to admissions policies in its second review of rulings in The University of Texas at Austin v. Fisher.

Join us October 25 for a preview of the hearing and what to watch for, hosted by ACE’s Jon Fansmith and featuring Peter McDonough, vice president and general counsel for ACE, and Marvin Krislov, president of Pace University. Krislov was vice president and general counsel at the University of Michigan during the landmark 2003 admissions case Grutter v. Bollinger.
