Coworking: Re-inventing the Future of Work
Coworking is reinventing the world of work. The coworking and flexible workspace industry is growing at rapid rates. According to some estimates, there could be up to 37,000 Coworking spaces worldwide by the end of 2018. You can find entrepreneurs, freelancers, mobile workers, consultants etc. working and meeting in these spaces. Coworking spaces such as The Centre for Social Innovation in Toronto have been around since 2004 and there are more independently owned spaces popping up everywhere including suburban areas and smaller cities & towns. Coworking has become a symbol of community, connectivity, efficiency, and networking. Not to mention it’s a cheaper alternative than renting or leasing a traditional office space. Most importantly, they are dismantling loneliness. People need a sense of belonging if they are not working in a traditional office environment. Join Charlotte Kirby from The Village Hive in Markham to learn more about the coworking movement, where to find a coworking space or how to start your own space.
