A Fabric of Friendship
Members are invited to join Pam Brown as Mary Lincoln and Kathryn Harris as Elizabeth Keckley as they perform a reading of Ken Bradbury's, "A Fabric of Friendship".

This beautifully written one-act play looks at the dynamic friendship between Mary Lincoln and Elizabeth Keckley, Mary's seamstress and friend. Following the performance, both Brown and Harris will answer questions from the audience. Send in your questions to jstout@alplm.org.

Pam Brown
"Mary Lincoln"
Brown has spent the last 30 years in Springfield IL directing and acting in numerous theatrical productions, presentations, and films. Brown also has a BFA in acting/directing from the University of Oklahoma. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her nine grandchildren and volunteering at the ALPLM.
Kathryn Harris
"Elizabeth Keckley"
Kathryn Harris of Springfield retired in March 2015 as director of library services at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library (formerly the Illinois State Historical Library) after 25 years of service. Harris formerly served as head of reference at the Illinois State Library before joining the staff at the ISHL in 1990. She previously worked for the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She studied French/secondary education at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
