Covid19 had an enormous impact on mortality and morbidity in each of our countries, making even several national health care systems collapse. The global domino effect created by the lockdown and the physical distancing is unseen in this millennium and even far before.
Covid19 shakes up the foundations of our communities, both economically as socially and global crises may further evolve. These events had an enormous impact on our hospitals, our departments, our practices, our patients.
As a kick off topic of the Euraps Online Seminars, Euraps therefore has opted to share the Covid19 experiences, our professional concerns, lessons and hopes for the future.
We choose a list of distinguished speakers representing EURAPS nations that either had high or low excess mortality figures or where governments opted for a different strategy to tackle Covid19. Not so much to make cross-European comparisons of the provided policies, but to reflect on the impact on our private and academic practices, either esthetic or reconstructive, on the teaching and training of our residents and to share tips and tricks in case of a second Covid wave.
