Racism in the Arab News with the Ethical Journalism Network - العنصريّة في الاعلام العربي

This panel will look at how racism manifests itself in the Arab media. It will examine some of the specific characteristics of reporting on race, ethnicity and nationalism in the Arab world and look at the role that the media is playing in perpetuating these. The panel will also discuss some of the challenges that journalists face when covering topics related to race, ethnic minorities and refugees.

تركّز هذه الجلسة على كيفية تجسّد العنصرية في الإعلام العربي. وستبحث في بعض الخصائص المحددة لكتابة التقارير التي تتناول العرق، والهوية الإثنيّة، والقومية في العالم العربي. وتنظر إلى الدور الذي تلعبه وسائل الإعلام في تكريسها. تناقش الجلسة أيضًا بعض التحديات التي يواجهها الصحفيون عند تغطية مواضيع تتعلق بالعرق والأقليات الاثنية واللاجئين
