Ramona Massachi
Book Club Host @Real Progressives
Ramona is an artist that has been inspired by the knowledge of Modern Monetary Theory. She was influenced by Bernie Sanders' run for office. She wanted to understand how Bernie Sanders lost his run in 2016. She found Stephanie Kelton, his chief economist, and started reading what she had published. When she found the MMT community she began to piece together how our economic system works. She began to reach out to the community of candidates she believed in and helped them learn MMT with the assistance of MMT economists and activists. When Kelton’s book, The Deficit Myth, was published, Ramona was pleased that it was written beyond her expectations. It is composed of everything she had learned from reading and listening to economists and is easy to understand. She would like to share that knowledge with the greatest amount of people she can reach around the world.
The Deficit Myth
