Telehealth Access for America Presents: Critical for Consumers: Unpacking the Value of Telehealth and How Congress Can Permanently Protect Access to Virtual Care
Join Telehealth Access for America (TAFA) and a tremendous panel of leaders in health care, including consumer advocates, physicians, and policy experts, for a virtual discussion on the critical value telehealth provides for patients — and how Congress can act to permanently safeguard and strengthen access to virtual care.

Expanded access to telehealth services and rapid advancements in technology accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in telehealth becoming one of the few positive developments to come from the public health crisis — allowing millions of patients to access quality health care, lower their health care costs, and improve health outcomes.

Vital telehealth flexibilities, initially granted in response to the Public Health Emergency (PHE), have become a literal lifeline for patients, including for the nearly 50 million seniors – 41 percent of all Medicare fee-for-service beneficiaries – who utilized telehealth in 2020. In an overwhelming demonstration of bipartisan support, the U.S. House passed a two-year extension of telehealth flexibilities in July with a final vote tally of 416 to 12.

Now, millions of patients who have come to rely on telehealth services are counting on Congress to capitalize on the bipartisan momentum, ensure critical flexibilities are extended and enact permanent reforms to safeguard access to virtual care.

Join us for this important discussion on telehealth’s critical value for consumers and the future of health care.
