The National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Local Government of Del Carmen, Siargao, are joining hands to celebrate the International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem on July 26, 2021, 9:00 – 12:00 noon. The celebration aims to raise awareness of the importance of mangrove ecosystems and to promote solutions for their sustainable management, conservation and uses. In line with this, NRCP Member-Researchers will present the findings of the eight (8) studies conducted under the project “Assessment, Inventory and Biological Field Surveys of Flora and Fauna of the Mangrove Forests in Del Carmen Siargao Island”.
