He was the Chairman of the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee from October 2016 to November 2019 and oversaw the committee’s disinformation and ‘fake news’ inquiry. He is the co-founder and host of the Infotagion, a podcast about disinformation during the Covid-19 epidemic.
