RACGP Activity 284183: Presented by Dr David Yeo (Upper GI Surgeon) and Dr May Wong (Gastroenterologist)
Chronic constipation and diarrhoea are common reasons for presentation to the GP. Functional gut disorders occur frequently in the community (up to 40% of the general population) and account for poor quality of life for patients. However it is often challenging to manage due to their refractory nature. Hiatal hernia is also a frequent presentation with a variety of symptoms and treatment options.
