Fall Prevention and the Social Determinants of Health Across the Life Span
Building on the Atlantic Collaborative on Injury Prevention’s recent report entitled “Fall Prevention Among Seniors and the Social Determinants of Health: A Social Policy Lens”, the webinar is an opportunity to engage stakeholders who work in fall prevention to reflect and discover ways in which social policies can address the links between the social determinants of health (SDOH) and fall-related injuries across the lifespan.

Presenters will provide background information with an Atlantic Canadian context to frame the issue and provide specific social policy examples that address the links between fall prevention and the SDOH. The webinar aims to highlight the roles of stakeholders across the injury prevention spectrum and the opportunities for stakeholders to participate in different aspects of social policy.

This webinar is intended for fall prevention stakeholders including (but not limited to) injury prevention and public health practitioners, government and non-governmental organizations, health-care providers, researchers, decision makers and resource allocators, and others in Atlantic Canada who have a responsibility or investment in preventing fall-related injuries.
