COVID-19 and Health Inequalities: applying the lessons to deliver change
COVID-19 has exposed and exacerbated health inequalities that pervade our societies. The momentum is there to ‘build back better’. This requires, first and foremost, that we build back fairer. At this webinar, Professor Clare Bambra will set out the findings of her upcoming book (June 2021), "The Unequal Pandemic: COVID-19 and health inequalities", with an emphasis on the ‘lessons for a post covid future’. Subsequent speakers will build on these, and focus on practical measures that can be taken to e.g., improve the situation of vulnerable children and migrants, and make decision making processes more representative. The objective is to identify strong examples of ‘investable’ solutions that can instigate further change in the systems and structures shaping our lives.
