Social workers are faced with ethical decisions every day, sometimes in a moment's notice. Although our Code of Ethics provides guidance on ethics, in this workshop we will learn ethical decision-making frameworks and tools that you can apply in your practice. We will also work through a few case studies to help strengthen your understanding of issues, guidelines and tools for effective and ethical social work practice.

Dawn is a licensed clinical social worker, trainer, consultant and certified life/business coach with a broad range of experience that includes community organizing, case management, clinical practice, community health education and executive administration. Her interests and expertise lie in mental health equity for LGBTQ and gender nonconforming people across the lifespan, culturally competent trauma-informed treatment and healing models for LGBTQ trauma survivors and supervision. She has delivered training throughout the U.S. and abroad in Canada, Puerto Rico and China.
