Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held by the Council of the City of Parksville on Monday, February 1, 2021, at 3 pm via electronic means, in accordance with provincial health regulations and Ministerial Order M192 resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, to consider public representations on the following bylaw:
"ZONING AND DEVELOPMENT AMENDMENT BYLAW, 2020, NO. 2000.130" proposes to amend "City of Parksville Zoning and Development Bylaw, 1994, No. 2000".
In general terms, the purpose of the proposed amendment is to create the Comprehensive Development Zone CD-30 intended to designate land for the purpose of accommodating tourist accommodations, high-density residential uses and care uses and to rezone the properties legally described as Parcel A (DD 378477I) of Lot 2, District Lot 106, Nanoose District, Plan 6988 Except that part in Plan VIP52183 [PID: 005-791-847] (480 Island Highway West) and Lot A, District Lot 106, Nanoose District, Plan 26392 [PID: 002-760-924] (490 Island Highway West) from the Single Family Residential RS-1 zone to the Comprehensive Development CD-30 zone.

CONDUCT OF HEARING
During the Hearing, the public will be allowed to make representations to City Council respecting matters contained in the proposed bylaw and all persons who believe their interest in property is affected by the proposed bylaw shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to be heard.
