Our ASHA Code of Ethics provides SLPs with guidance that supports decisions that are made in our workplaces. Practitioners working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) populations, are faced with unique challenges as they work towards ensuring that the services that they provide are equitable and inclusive. In this course, we will review the current landscape as it relates to conversations regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field of speech and language pathology and identify the gaps that are present for our CLD students. After reviewing the Code of Ethics, we will outline the characteristics of ethical decision makers and use case studies to identify the applications and challenges to ethical decision making for CLD students.
All attendees will receive an attendance certificate with Professional Development Hours. If you want Bilingual Therapies to process the CEUs for ASHA CEU credit, there is a $25 fee. Further instructions will be emailed to you after attending the webinar and completing the survey.
