Philip Eliasoph is an American art historian, critic, curator, and Professor of Art History in the Department of Visual & Performing Arts at Fairfield University. This lecture will focus on magic and metaphor in Paul Cadmus' 1947 painting "Playground", featured in the exhibition "Extra Ordinary: Magic, Mystery and Imagination in American Art."
