She has practiced psychiatry in private and public settings, has served in several executive leadership positions, and currently maintains a private practice in Rockville, Maryland. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Washington Psychiatric Society, is President of the Suburban Maryland Psychiatric Society and is President-Elect of Black Psychiatrists of America. At her church, Dr. Turner-Graham provides leadership for their Mental Health Ministry. Pursuing a life of spiritual, emotional and physical wellness is the organizing focus for her life, and she encourages others to do the same. Empowering individuals and groups to take control of their life and health is the mission of her business, ForSoundMind Enterprises, Inc. (www.ForSoundMind.com). Kizzmekia S. Corbett, Ph.D. (Viral Immunologist; Team Lead for Development of the Moderna Vaccine @National Institutes of Health) Kizzmekia S. Corbett, Ph.D. is a post-doctoral Research Fellow at NIAID's Vaccine Research Center (VRC). Appointed to the VRC in 2014, she serves as the team lead for coronavirus research within the VRC's Viral Pathogenesis Laboratory, under the supervision and scientific leadership of Dr. Barney S. Graham. In this role, she conducts basic and preclinical research and worked on pre-clinical development of the mRNA-1273 vaccine against COVID-19. A viral immunologist by training, Dr. Corbett's research investigates the mechanisms of viral pathogenesis and host immunity as they pertain to vaccine development. In addition to basic and preclinical research, Dr. Corbett invests much of her time bringing STEM awareness to youth in local communities through mentorship and volunteering. Combining her scientific interests with her knack for mentoring, she aspires to become an independent principal investigator. Regina James, M.D. - Moderator (Deputy Medial Director & Chief, Division of Diversity & Health Equity @American Psychiatric Association) Dr. Regina James is the Deputy Medical Director and Chief of the Division of Diversity and Health Equity at the American Psychiatric Association (APA). Dr. James is a child and adolescent psychiatrist with over 25 years of experience, providing leadership and direction in the planning, policy development and implementation of national and international health disparity programs and initiatives for children and families. Prior to joining APA, Dr. James served in numerous leadership positions including Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President at 2M Clinical, a clinical research organization and consultancy, where she was responsible for strategic medical leadership and content expertise for commercial and federal clients. She completed a residency in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and completed leadership training at the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education Program.
